The main scenic area requires a 100 RMB entrance fee. From the Ganhaizi Tourist Center, you can transfer to eco-buses that take you to one of three cable car stations. Tickets for all cable cars must be booked 1 to 7 days in advance via the Lijiang Tourism Group WeChat mini-program.
Passports are strictly required for ticket verification at multiple checkpoints. Same-day walk-up tickets are rarely available. During peak summer months, the 10,000 daily Glacier Park tickets often sell out within hours.

The large cableway takes you to 4,506 meters (14,783 ft) for close views of a marine-type glacier. A wooden staircase leads further to a 4,680-meter viewing platform. The ride costs 140 RMB, which includes a 20 RMB eco-shuttle. Altitude sickness is common here. Walk very slowly and use short puffs of oxygen.

The small cableway ascends to 3,240 meters (10,630 ft) and costs 60 RMB round-trip. The top station opens to a scenic alpine meadow bordered by primeval spruce trees. The 13 mountain peaks provide a dramatic backdrop. This lower altitude is ideal for families or those prone to altitude sickness.
